Here’s a lil tip-Clove Bud is the perfect scent for the fall and winter. I put this on after my showers on cold winter mornings. It’s warming for my body and I also get an entire day of compliments on how I smell. Wins all around.

AROMATIC USE

When you’re thinking of holiday smells, you definitely have clove in there. Yes, every candle store and body and bath lotion shop is trying to recreate it, but there’s nothing better than real, pure clove bud oil. Just add it to your diffuser and enjoy.

  • Clove supports us in establishing healthy boundaries in relationships. Maybe THAT’s why is comes out during the holidays so much.

  • Clove helps inspire confidence.

  • Clove calms fears and self-doubt.

  • It’s also supportive for people who are quitting smoking.

  • Apparently, termites don’t like clove oil, but I haven’t personally tried it.

  • Add it to a little water and lemon or wild orange oil in a spray bottle and use it on your countertops.

Blending with cinnamon would obviously be delightful, but have you tried it with grapefruit???

TOPICAL USE

I was a little shocked to find so many topical uses. It’s safe to say that having roller bottle on hand would be a good idea. Clove oil is pretty hot, so make sure you dilute it well.

  • I add 1 drop to some coconut oil to use as a moisturizer after my shower on cold mornings. So warm. So nice.

  • This is oils supportive for healthy thyroid function.

  • This oil can be soothing to occasional muscle aches and pains.

  • This oil has been used for healthy gums and to freshen breath.

  • This oil can soothe itchy feet and ankles.

  • Put it on the bottom of your feet for an antioxidant boost.

Support your thyroid gland with clove, frankincense, and myrrh.

INTERNAL USE

NOTE ABOUT INTERNAL USE OF ESSENTIAL OILS: not all oils are of high enough quality & purity to use internally. doTerra stands by its oils and has researched to make sure internal use is safe with SOME of their oils. (I say SOME because you can’t eat wood no matter how pure it is.)

I’ve used Clove when cooking, but only 1-2 drops at a time because it is relatively hot.

Clove is great to use internally when…

  • I want to support my liver’s best functioning (in a capsule.)

  • I want an extra boost of anti-oxidants.

  • I use a drop or two of clove oil in my homemade cranberry sauce.

The essential oils in my homemade cranberry sauce are clove, wild orange, and ginger.
