Serenity now!
Thank you Seinfeld for making me always say “Serenity NOW,” when I get out this blend. (But, really that’s on DoTerra because this blend came out waaaay after that episode. They should have known better.)
Nonetheless, this one is a staple in our home. It’s a combination of florals, woods, and a tiny bit of vanilla. Florals are amazing for when one needs to calm worries and fears or soothe a hurting heart. Wood oils take the edge off when one is grieving, sad, or feeling ashamed.
Even if that doesn’t sound like you, it’s helped many many people support deep and restful sleep.
AROMATIC USE
You’re definitely going to want to get a diffuser for this one. Smelling it from the bottle is great, but pumping it into the room is much better.
As mentioned, it’s a great support for sleep.
It’s helped us several times when stress and emotions are high.
When my kids are in the “Whyyyyy do I have to do schooooool?'“ kind of mood, this is a go-to.
When dealing with hate, anger, fear, and resentment, Serenity can take the edge off to make space for a shift in focus. (source: Emotions and Essential Oils-R. Hintze
Add a little rosemary and serenity to the diffuser. It’s heavenly.
TOPICAL USE
Did I mention it smells amazing. For that reason alone, one could use it for a personal perfume or add it to your body lotion. Here are some topical options.
Several of the oils in the blend help fight body odor so it’s perfect to add to my deodorant blend.
This becomes a great treatment for hair because of the oils that support healthy hair. (See how below.)
Sore muscles are a huge part of stress and this blend can help soothe the muscles of the neck and back.
To use Serenity in your hair try adding a drop to shampoo or add a drop to up to 5 drops of coconut oil and massage into scalp and hair after an evening wash. If needed, rinse in the morning. Repeat weekly or more often depending on you hair texture.
INTERNAL USE
Nothing to report here! Serenity is not safe for internal use because you can’t eat wood.
