Mind-Body Connection
EMOTIONAL STRESS AFFECTS THE BODY
When you’re close to a work deadline your shoulder muscles get tight. A rude comment at a party brings on a splash of cold in your stomach.
Most of the time, these stresses are easily resolved. However, when they are not resolved they can lead to persistent pains and discomforts in the body.
If you’ve lived with chronic pain there is a mind-body connection.
If you need to be careful to avoid certain foods because they cause nausea, diarrhea, constipation, or pain, there is a mind-body connection.
If you have persistent skin conditions that have been tough to heal, there is a mind-body connection.
If you experience painful periods, moodiness, too much or too little blood with your period, there is a mind-body connection.
When you learn about the mind-body connection you learn to read what the body is telling you. Then resolving the stresses, discomforts, and pains in the body becomes much easier.
